Female Support Worker Oakwood / Roundhay LS8

Complete Care Agency Ltd are currently recruiting for a Support Worker to provide care for a 19 year old female with Distal Spinal Muscular Atrophy. She is fully ventilated, has a PEG and uses Cough Assist.
This young lady lives with her family in the Oakwood/ Roundhay area and attends college in Bradford. This role is mainly a companionship role; she really enjoys getting out and about to concerts, shopping, the cinema and trips to London. She has her own blog and has been involved in charity events to raise money for Spinal Muscular Atrophy.
This service user requires full assistance with moving and handling. Duties include supporting with educational, social and physical needs.
Essential attributes:
- Reliable and committed
- Punctual and conscientious
- Fun outgoing personality
- Literate and numerate
- Able to complete Care Certificate and other Mandatory training
- Common interests to that of the client
No experience is necessary as full training will be given to the right candidate. However, you must have excellent communication and time management skills, an ability to build relationships and a genuine care for others.
Hours of work
Approximately 20 hours per week
* You must be flexible and able to cover 24 hours when needed
You MUST be a driver with your own vehicle
